Where does my gift go?

It's up to you! One hundred percent of your gift goes directly to the area that is important to you. Whether your heart is with your college or department or you have an interest in a specific initiative or student program at SHSU, you are free to choose what your gift supports.

If you do not see the fund that you would like to support, please select the appropriate department, and then select "Other" under the Fund Designation drop-down menu. A new field will appear immediately below where you can then type in the fund you wish to support.

Will my gift on SHSU Giving Day be tax-deductible?

All gifts to Sam Houston State University, including those on SHSU Giving Day supporting specific areas of SHSU, are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

You will get an email confirmation of your credit card transaction right after you make your gift.

Is my gift secure?

Absolutely! SHSU Giving Day is integrated into Sam Houston State University’s online giving platform that utilizes TouchNet, which is PCI Level 1-compliant. When making a gift during SHSU Giving Day, you are just as secure as making an online gift to Sam Houston State University.

Can I ask my company to match my gift?

Yes! You can double or even triple your gift! Hundreds of companies will match donations to SHSU. (Your spouse's company may qualify too.) Search for your employer or company name here.
