College of Criminal Justice
Meeting you where you are

Since 1965, the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University has been at the forefront of applied academic research and professional leadership development and continues to set the national standard in higher education.  Focusing on the people, places and programs that make us one of the top programs in the nation, we offer programs in criminal justice and criminology, forensic science, security studies, and victim studies as well as professional development opportunities for law enforcement, fire, forensics training and homeland security.

Whether its creating meaningful opportunities for students in the Rio Grande Valley, adding programs that allow working professionals to complete their degree recognizing the work they have already done, or supporting homeless, foster or orphan students with our Forward program; the College of Criminal Justice Enrichment accounts and scholarship programs give us the ability to continue to find ways to open the pathways to learning and a college degree.

For over 60 years, we have dedicated our resources to providing opportunities for students seeking a career in the criminal justice field.  Our donors make this possible through their continued support of our endeavors.  We appreciate all that you have done and continue to do for our college, which allows us to maintain our high-quality standards of excellence in research and education.
